The European Solheim Cup Captain, Nicholas, was thrilled and said: “That was just pure skill. That was a great competition and we really enjoyed it. Although Europe won, Rosie obviously had the best technique and she won on that front.”
Christina Kim, who played on the 2005 and 2009 US Solheim Cup teams, was extremely competitive and said: “I’m completely devastated right now. I don’t know what to say. I haven’t been this quiet in months.”
The contest took place ahead of this week’s AIB Ladies Irish Open, taking place at Killeen Castle in Dunsany, County Meath, from 6-8 August, which boasts a tremendous field with 17 of last year’s Solheim Cup players teeing up.
