For the first time in the tournament’s history, this year’s Evian Masters will be playing host to an extended field of no fewer than 111 players.

A truly international line-upSome 22 different countries will be represented at this year’s Evian Masters. Asia once again has a large contingent, with players from Korea, Japan and China. Then come the United States, England and Sweden, whilst ‘home’ nation France will have three players in the running: Karine Icher, Gwladys Nocera and Virginie Lagoutte Clément. New countries will also have representatives at the tournament, including India, Columbia and Canada…

Famous faces around the greens…Every year, the Evian Masters attracts plenty of well-known celebrities.

Some of those you can expect to see joining fellow spectators around the greens or relaxing in the sumptuous surroundings of the Evian Royal Resort include English actor and golf fan Hugh Grant, Dani, Bruno Solo, Christophe Dominici, Marco Simone, Taïg Khris, Olivier Girault, Delphine de Turkheim, Stéphane Piazza and the bubbly Lio, invited by Michel Lacoste for the special closing evening of the Evian Masters.

Others will be lining up alongside the players and their caddies for the traditional Thursday evening football match, organized for the benefit of the charity ELA. They include Laurent Blanc, Alain Boghossian, Bixente Lizarazu and ELA’s ambassador, Zinedine Zidane.

Société Générale, a major supporter of golf and rugby, could persuade rugby players Vincent Clerc, Yannick Jauzion, David Skrella and François Trinh-Duc to line up against the heroes of the France ’98 World Cup.
