Current European No.1 Davies, who recently earned her 74th career title in Germany, will be the major draw card, but many will be watching Zuzana Kamasova, the only touring professional golfer from Slovakia, who is attached to the course and even helped with its design.
“I am super excited that Slovakia will host an LET tournament especially at my home golf course Gray Bear, which my golf coach has co-designed,” she said.
“I have always dreamed of being able to play in a pro tournament on home soil, so for me, it is a dream come true! I know that the girls will enjoy it, because the course is challenging but fair set in beautiful scenery of the National Park of Low Tatras surrounded by mountains. I am very happy that they are here and I’m hoping to play well.”
The only other Slovakian player in the field is Vicky Tomko, who is a 22-year-old amateur, born in Germany, living in Belgium and attending the University of Central Florida.
