Morocco, Saturday 20th March 2010 — The final round of the Lalla Meryem Cup is underway on a slightly overcast but warm day at Royal Golf Anfa Mohammedia in Morocco.

The leaders teed off at 10.30am with an early finish predicted today. However there are several challengers vying for a podium finish. Sweden’s Carin Koch held a one stroke lead overnight at six-under-par ahead of three players at five-under, namely England’s Melissa Reid, Scotland’s Vikki Laing and Germany’s Anja Monke.

Conditions are calm and ideal for low scoring today. Italian Veronica Zorzi started well with two birdies in her first three holes and was right in the mix with a number of players who were just two shots behind the early leader.

The main prize giving takes place at 5pm on Sunday at Royal Dar Es Salam, which is hosting the Hassan Trophee II on the men’s European Tour concluding on Sunday.

A new chapter of golfing history has been written in Morocco with the staging of the Hassan II Golf Trophy on the men’s European Tour and the Lalla Meryem Cup on the Ladies European Tour in the same country, in the same week. Please see live scoring for hole by hole updates.
