The tournament comes as part of ‘golf in DUBAI’s ambitious drive to expose the Emirate’s rapidly-growing golfing portfolio of world-class courses on the global stage.
“It is one of our objectives to organise tournaments, locally or internationally, on behalf of our partners to try and promote Dubai as one of the leading golf destinations in the world,” said Buamaim said. “And the Indian Ladies Masters is a reflection on our team efforts to achieve this common goal.”
‘golf in DUBAI’ are also promoting and organising the Indian Masters to be held at the Delhi Golf Club from February 7 to 10, 2008. Boasting a prize-fund of $2.5 million, the European Tour event, sanctioned by Indian Golf Union, is the richest golfing event ever to be held in India.
