(Kokkedal GC, Denmark – September 4, 2005) Denmark’s Iben Tinning delighted the home fans by claiming her third victory of the season on the Robe di Kappa Ladies European Tour at the inaugural Nykredit Masters at Kokkedal GC, near Copenhagen.

Tinning and HRH Crown Princess Mary

Tinning was presented with her trophy, a salver made of sterling silver designed by Arne Jacobsen by H.R.H the Crown Princess Mary.

“Obviously winning in your own country is an amazing feeling and the crowd was fantastic”, said Tinning.

“I have been very happy with all my wins but the crowd is a little more crazy here and that’s fantastic.”

Tinning started the day two shots behind Ekelundh, at eight under par, but tied for the lead at the turn after she went out in 31 (-5). On the front nine, she birdied the third and fourth holes, followed by an eagle at the sixth and another birdie at the ninth, which took her to thirteen under alongside Ekelundh.

Then the tables dramatically turned as Ekelundh dropped three shots in two holes on the back nine, with a double bogey at the tenth and a bogey at the 11th, where Tinning scored another birdie to take her to fourteen under par.

The Swede recovered slightly with a birdie at the 13th but by then Tinning was still three shots clear of both Ekelundh and Blomqvist.

The Swede moved closer with a birdie at the 14th, but failed to pull clear when her next birdie at the 15th was matched by Tinning’s.
