(Remeteségpuszta, Hungary July 15 2004) The Robe di Kappa Ladies European Tour breaks new ground this week, becoming the first professional golf Tour to play in Hungary, the former Eastern Bloc state which became a member of the European Union on May 1 this year.

Both Wessberg, runner up in Portugal, Brewerton, with three top three finishes this year and Monke have looked the most likely to date to emulate their predecessors from 2001, but with two of them absent and the world’s best players heading over this side of the Atlantic next week, Monke has the best chance of them all here this week.
After heavy rains in the last few weeks at the foothills of the Gerecse mountains, the 6000-yard par 71 course is ripe for scoring and with the forecast to be around 30 degrees centigrade over the weekend, the scoring is likely to be as hot as the climate.
