EMAAR-MGF Ladies Masters
Round one Interviews
Wednesday 5th December 2007

Gwladys Nocera 69 (-3)
Q. Well done today. A very good second shot on the 18th hole.

GWLADYS NOCERA: Yeah. I hit a strong nine and it was in between clubs. With the wind and I was a little bit in the rough, so I just thought if I hit it with the draw it will roll some more. I think it hit the hole.
Q. You had a double bogey on the 15th. What happened there?
GWLADYS NOCERA: It was just unlucky. I hit my third shot not as strong as I wanted. I hit a branch on the right side and it dropped into the bunker. It was unplayable so I took it out, went back behind the bunker and two putted. I mean it wasn’t a bad shot.
Q. Why do you think the scores are a little bit higher today?
GWLADYS NOCERA: Well I think the wind is hard to judge because it’s coming around and gusting. Sometimes it’s strong and sometimes you have nothing. I think the greens are pretty tricky too.
Q. You’ve been playing well. You won the Princess Lalla Meryem Cup recently in Morocco. What have you been doing since then?
GWLADYS NOCERA: Practising hard in Lausanne. I went to Evian and to France. I’m trying to cope with whatever I can find. I had good practise sessions with my coach so it was pretty good.
Q. What is your goal for this week and next week?
GWLADYS NOCERA: If I can tease the New Star Money List and move up a little bit that would be great. I don’t think I can win the New Star Money List as I have to win this week and next week. It’s pretty tough as next week is going to be a big event. This week I just want to try my best and a win this week would be nice.
Q. You’ve been looking around India a bit. Where have you been?
GWLADYS NOCERA: I went to Bangalore and went to a temple. It’s the first time I’ve been to India and it’s such a nice country that I just wanted to see something else other than just the hotel and the golf course. We went to town and we enjoyed the busy life there. It was nice.
Q. Did you see anything else?
GWLADYS NOCERA: No, just one temple because it takes so much time to go from one place to another. I don’t know the name – it’s big, white and pretty big. We walked around and took pictures.
Q. Is culture something that interests you?
GWLADYS NOCERA: Well yes. It’s so different from Europe so it’s nice to see how people live. People are kind and happy so that’s nice to see.
Q. Back to your round: what was the key?
GWLADYS NOCERA: I hit the ball pretty well and it’s been a while since I hit the ball like that.
