It was a tough four weeks with lots of hard work, rehab and tears but I somehow managed to get my knee strong enough to play golf by the end of November. The count down to tour school started… I now only had four weeks to fine tune my game and get ready for eight rounds of high pressure golf. After chatting with my coach Paul Ashwell he accepted the challenge of getting my swing and short game ready.
I worked my butt off those four weeks (even practising on Christmas day!) and was able to stand on the first tee knowing my knee was strong enough…and the rest, as they say, is history!
It has been a very long lead up to the first event in May and I have been busy working on my fitness and improving my golf. I have also been looking for sponsors to help with the costs of being on tour – but no luck so far. However, I am very lucky as the members at Bedfordshire GC (my home club) have arranged a golf event to raise funds to help towards my costs.
I am now looking forward to teeing it up for real, and will keep you all up to date with my experiences on the tour.
Speak to you soon,
Holly.
