Zackrisson, who claimed her maiden LET win at the Open de Espana in April, maintained her overnight lead with a 71. She opened with eight straight pars and birdied the ninth for an outward total of one-under 36 and was level on the back nine after a bogey at the 14th and a birdie at the last.
“It was just as steady as the other few days. I didn’t hole as many putts but I played nicely. I made the par putts today to keep the score,” Zackrisson said.
The long hitting Swede was looking forward to playing with Davies for the first time in the final pairing on Sunday but added: “I’ll be the short one tomorrow!”
German first year player Denise-Charlotte Becker, who played with Davies in the third round, finished two shots back in third on nine-under-par after a 69. Becker was thrilled to have played with Davies and said: “It was amazing. It was such a great feeling to play with the former world number one. It was a great round with her.
“The first nine holes I was very nervous and I thought, “Oh my God, I’m playing with Laura Davies.” Then I said: “Okay, come on, play your game and don’t be nervous, you can do it!” Then I made some birdies.”
