Greatest achievement to date?I don’t think I have just one thing. But if I look at one thing that changed my life is winning the 1988 US Women’s Open.

When did you start playing?I started playing golf when I was 10. I entered a junior tournament called Colgate cup. The event was started by Sven Tumba. I made it to the final and finished 3rd.  I won a golf bag and was so proud and hooked on golf forever!

Favourite memory? My favorite memories are many. But winning the US Open is probably the first that comes to mind.

Favourite Solheim Cup memory of career to date?My favourite Solheim cup memory is celebrating with my team mates after our wins in 1992 and 2000. Finding out that we had won and seeing the smiles on everyones faces. Coming in to our team room and dancing to the tunes of “We are the champions!” Those are the moments I never forget.

Who was your sporting idol?My sporting idols: I loved watching Seve play. His game was exciting and he was super cute. I got to play a TV match with him in Japan. He helped me with my short game. Growing up in Sweden as a kid my idol was Ingemar Stenmark. He was a skiier. When we had class in school and there was a ski race they would roll in the TV and class would stop so we could watch him race! He was an important role model for everyone.
