Inbee Park secured her 3rd major championship with a birdie on the 3rd play-off hole against Scotland’s Catriona Matthew at Locust Hill Country club, NY last night.

After weather disruptions players completed the final 2 rounds on Sunday, with Matthew coming from behind to shoot 68 on the final round, and forcing a play-off with Park who stumbled over the final holes with 3 bogeys on 14, 16 and 18th.
After both parred the first two playoff holes, Park holed an 18-footer to seal victory.
It was a fantastic tournament for the European players, Matthew in second position and Suzann Pettersen in 3rd. Pettersen fired an impressive 65 on the final round – the best round of the tournament. Anna Nordqvist, Caroline Masson and Beatriz Recari also took away top 20 finishes.
