Karine Icher from France has effectively ruled herself out of September’s Solheim Cup in Ireland as she is expecting her first child in August.
The World Number 59 could have played her way onto the team or received one of the four captain’s selections available for the European team but has told Captain Alison Nicholas not to consider her.
Icher, a five-time winner on the LET, played for Europe at The 2002 Solheim Cup at Interlachen G&CC in Minnesota when she won one point playing alongside Raquel Carriedo.
