London, October 15th 2013- TSA, Asia’s global leader in sports content, has been appointed by the Ladies European Tour (LET) to exclusively market and distribute the 2014 Tour events worldwide, excluding Europe and North America.
The arrangement allows the LET,its production partner U.COM Media and TSA to pool their expertise and benefit from TSA’s extensive global network of TV partners, especially in Asia which is an important growth market for the Tour, with several new events planned in that region.
LET’s Chief Executive, Ivan Khodabakhsh, commented: “We are excited that a company with TSA’s reputation and experience has made a commitment to women’s golf and the Ladies European Tour (LET). Together with its television production partner U.COM Media, the LET has introduced a new series of premium live events to the Tour in 2013. We are looking forward to bringing our global fan base more live golf with a fresh new look and we trust in TSA’s competence, especially in Asia, to provide us the widest distribution”.
U.COM Media´s Managing Director, Dirk Glittenberg, said, “Our mission to turn Ladies European Tour golf into an exciting, glamorous live TV product is only possible with strong partners. We are happy that TSA shares that vision and is committed to carrying the ladies’ game to the audiences it deserves!”
TSA Group CEO, Marcus Luer, said: “We are very excited to support LET’s effort to promote and grow the Tour worldwide. We have been watching the golf space for some time and I strongly believe that there is tremendous potentialfor ladies’ golf in general and especially for the Ladies European Tour. We have proven many times in the past that we know how to assist an emerging sport and help them grow beyond their traditional borders. I have no doubt that we will do the same again here. Having worked with Ivan before, I have no doubt that this relationship will continue to grow beyond the TV rights and TSA will add value in other areas from events to sponsorships in future as well.”
