Congratulations to the Ladies European Tour members who have earned their LPGA cards for the 2019 season.

Klara Spilková (Czech Republic), Mel Reid (England), Nanna Koerstz Madsen (Denmark), Anne Van Dam (Netherlands), Katie Burnett (USA), Jenny Haglund (Sweden), Gemma Dryburgh (Scotland) and Xiyu Lin (China) finished inside the top 45 and ties at the LPGA Q-Series presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina, while Isi Gabsa (Germany) graduated to the LPGA via the Symetra Tour.

The following LET members, should they choose to accept LPGA Tour status, would become 2019 LPGA Tour rookies: Isi Gabsa (Germany), Klara Spilkova (Czech Republic), Anne Van Dam (Netherlands) and Jenny Haglund (Sweden).

Q-SERIES GRADUATES:

Klara Spilková (4, -11)

  • Spilková, 23, is from Prague, Czech Republic and has played on the LET since 2011
  • In 2017, Spilková became the first Czech winner on the LET with a win at the Lalla Meryem Cup in Morocco
  • Spilková represented the Czech Republic at the 2016 Rio Olympics, finishing T48
  • She has made 16 career starts on the LPGA Tour with a career-best T50 finish at the 2018 Ricoh Women’s British Open

Mel Reid (5, -8)

  • Reid, 31, is from Derby, England
  • Reid joined the Ladies European Tour in 2008 and was named the Rookie of the Year
  • She has six career wins on the LET, and 56 career top-10 finishes
  • In 2018 on the LPGA, Reid made seven cuts in 20 starts with one top-10 finish
  • Reid finished in a tie for eighth at the 2016 LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn Priority List Category 12 status for the 2017 LPGA Tour season
  • Three-time European Solheim Cup team member (2011, 2015, 2017) with an overall record of 4-3-1
  • Member of Team England in the 2016 UL International Crown, posting a 2-2-0 overall record

Nanna Koerstz Madsen (T11, -2)

  • Koerstz Madsen, 23, from Smoerum, Denmark
  • She is a 2017 Symetra Tour graduate and 2018 LPGA Tour rookie
  • 22 starts this season on LPGA with nine cuts made and a season-best T15 finish at Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic
  • Three-time winner as Symetra Tour rookie in 2017 led her to become the 12th player in Tour history to earn a “Battlefield Promotion” to the LPGA, playing in three events between late August and early September that year
  • One-time winner on the Ladies European Tour, at the Pilsen Golf Masters
  • Owns the Symetra Tour 72-hole scoring record of 22-under par, which she posted at the 2017 Danielle Downey Credit Union Classic
  • Represented Denmark at the 2016 Rio Olympics, finishing T13

Anne Van Dam (T15, +2)

  • Van Dam, 23, is from Arnhem, Netherlands and has played on the LET since 2015
  • She is a two-time winner on the LET, with seven career top-10 finishes and is currently third on the 2018 Order of Merit
  • In 2018, Van Dam won the Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open in Spain
  • Van Dam has made 10 career starts on the LPGA, with a career-best T17 finish at the Aberdeen Standard Investments Ladies Scottish Open
  • Van Dam made nine starts on the Symetra Tour in 2018 with two top-10 finishes

Katie Burnett (T15, +2)

  • Burnett, 29, is from Brunswick, Georgia
  • In the 2018 season, Burnett made four cuts in 20 starts—her best finish was T24 at the LPGA Volvik Championship
  • Burnett recorded a career-best finish of T2 at the 2016 LPGA Lotte Championship
  • Burnett previously qualified for the Tour on her first attempt, finishing 25th at the 2012 LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament
  • She has two top-10 finishes for her LPGA career (T2- 2016 LPGA Lotte Championship, T9- 2014 LPGA Lotte Championship)
  • She was named a 2012 Second-Team All-American and Honorable Mention selection in 2010 while she played at the University of South Caroline, where she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Psychology

 Jenny Haglund (T20, +3)

  • 25-year-old rookie on the Symetra Tour in 2018 from Karlstad, Sweden
  • Haglund is SMU’s all-time scoring average leader at 73.55
  • Won the Lalla Meryem Cup in April 2018 on the Ladies European Tour (LET)
  • Stepped into the winner’s circle at the Symetra Classic in May
  • Haglund recorded four top-10 finishes and 14 cuts made in 15 Symetra Tour starts this season
  • Competed in the 2018 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship on exemption

Gemma Dryburgh (T23, +4)

  • Dryburgh, 25, is from Aberdeen, Scotland
  • Dryburgh finished T13 at the 2017 LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn Priority List Category 12 status for the 2018 LPGA Tour season
  • As an LPGA rookie in 2018, Dryburgh made three cuts of 18 starts—her best finish was T21 at the Cambia Portland Classic
  • Dryburgh made two starts on the LPGA Tour in 2017—she finished T66 at the ISPS Handa Women’s Australian Open
  • She graduated from Tulane University in 2015 with a degree in Marketing

Xiyu Lin (T23, +4)

  • Lin, 22, is from Guangzhou, China; her nickname is “Janet”
  • Lin is a two-time winner of the Sanya Ladies Open on the Ladies European Tour
  • In 2018, Lin made six cuts in her 15 starts on the LPGA Tour—her best finish was T25 at the Marathon Classic presented by Owens Coming and O-I
  • Lin recorded a career-best for fifth at the 2015 Blue Bay LPGA
  • Finished in a tie for ninth at the 2013 LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament to earn Priority List Category 12 for the 2014 LPGA Tour season

SYMETRA TOUR GRADUATES

Isi Gabsa (Munich, Germany) ($60,386 earned in 2018)

She became a first-time winner on the Symetra Tour this year at the 34th annual Forsyth Classic and also added eight other top-25 results to her résumé. A past graduate and two-time winner on the Ladies European Tour (LET) Access Series, Gabsa is a former member of Germany’s Olympic National Team.
