Paula Marti from Spain, who is on course to win the Ladies European Tour order of merit this season, made a bold statement the week before The 2002 Solheim Cup when she carded a final-round 71 to win the first qualifying stage of LPGA Tour school at Indio, California and leads 30 players into the final stages from October 8-11 at LPGA International in Daytona Beach in Florida.
