This year’s intake of rookies will be hoping to dislodge England’s Lisa Hall from the top of the 2008 New Star Money List, Hall having taken the early lead with her victory in February’s ANZ Ladies Masters.
Reid, who finished third at the MFS Women’s Australian Open and tied for 55th at the ANZ Ladies Masters, has entered the next full field event on the schedule, the Open de Espana Femenino at Panoramica Golf and Country Club from 17-20 April. She is likely to be seen at various events across the 2008 LET schedule.
As Reid missed out on the Final Stage of LET Qualifying School, she has been relying on invitations to play in events so far, but as she is a Tour member there is no limit to the number of invitations she can receive throughout the year.
At present, she will be eligible for the first full field event (Open de Espana) in April because of her top 20 position in the Order of Merit (3rd) giving her 6 (b) exemption category qualification. The same applies for Yuki Sakurai as there are no full field events until then.
Hansen and Cabrera-Bello, a two time Ladies European Amateur Champion and twice a member of the European PING Junior Solheim Cup Team, have already confirmed their attendance at the Open de Espana Femenino, as well as the next event, the Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open from 1-3 May.
