Jade Schaeffer from France |
Schaeffer travels to Eindhoven hoping to reproduce the sort of form that led to her maiden LET victory a fortnight ago and is boosted by the fact that she co-led the ABN AMRO after an opening round of 67 (-5) at Eindhovensche Golf last year.
“I have a very good feeling at this golf course,” said Schaeffer, who caddied for her boyfriend François Calmels of France when he claimed his maiden Challenge Tour victory in the Telenet Trophy in Belgium last week.
“I just practised three times last week as it was not very easy on the Challenge Tour. When I won in Germany I felt I played the same as I did in Switzerland so I hope I can play well again here.”
In addition to Skarpnord, Reid and Schaeffer, the home challenge will include Marjet van der Graaff and first year tour player Christel Boeljon, the pair who successfully captured the Comunitat Valenciana European Nations Cup in Spain in April.
Vera Shimanskaya, the Russian gold medallist in rhythmic gymnastics, makes her second appearance in an LET event playing on an invitation.
The 5764 metres/6309 yards, par 72 golf course was designed by Harry Colt.
