(Arras, France, June 19 2002) Norway’s Suzann Pettersen returns to the scene of her maiden victory to defend the €275,000 Open de France Dames at Le Golf d’Arras in the Pas de Calais region of Northern France.
The 21-year-old from Oslo defeated Becky Morgan from Wales after a thrilling final day here last year, and went on to win the Bill Johnson Rookie of the year award after posting four more top tens and three outright second place finishes.
Two of those runners up spots were behind local favourite Karine Icher, who is in top form after tying for seventh spot among the best players in the world at last week’s Evian Masters.
