The juniors led the way at the Wales WPGA Championship of Europe this month when the event kicked off with a “Pro Am with a difference”.

Nicholas shows the way

“When I was a junior any time a pro turned up it was always nice to have a picture taken with them and just chat and get a few bits of help off them. None of them here need any coaching because they’ve all got good coaches and they’re all good players already but a little helping hand and a bit of encouragement can never hurt.”

Morgan, who this week will be pushing her claim to become the first Welsh golfer to play in the Solheim Cup after seven top tens this season, was also impressed.

“Although I think there are more girls playing now, I think girl’s golf in Britain needs some help and I’m hoping that watching us might help to spur the girls on.”
