World number one Annika Sorenstam eased her way to a second-round one under par 69 to move into a share of the halfway lead at the US Women’s Open at Prairie Dunes in Kansas.
The 31-year-old Swede was one of a handful of players to break par on this trouble strewn course and sits alongside Americans Juli Inkster and Laura Diaz on one under par after 36 holes.
Sorenstam, US Open champion in 1995 and 1996 has won her last two events and seven times in all this year, including the season opening ANZ Masters in Australia.
