Nocera, who won the recent Aberdeen Asset Management Ladies Scottish Open, will return to the scene of her maiden victory where she shot a course record 63 (-9) in 2006.
Meanwhile Emma Zackrisson, the surprise winner in this year’s Spanish Open in Castellon and Lotta Wahlin, who won less than a fortnight ago in Turkey, will also appear.
Bettina Hauert, the defending champion who won her maiden Ladies European Tour title last year in Ticino, will be looking for a strong defense of her Deutsche Bank Ladies Swiss Open crown.
However Lisa Hall, the leader of the 2008 New Star Money List, will be optimistic about her chances as she finished in outright third place at the 2006 event, which proved to be a catalyst to the rejuvenation of her career. She has since won three times – twice last year and at the ANZ Ladies Masters in Australia in February.
There is also particular excitement surrounding the wild card-players such as Caroline Rominger and Fanny Vuignier, currently Switzerland’s finest two up-and-coming players, along with local hotshot Anais Maggetti, gifted Russian player Maria Verchenova and rising British star Henrietta Zuel, who will play in only her second tournament as a professional.
