A great score of 63 today, Amy. How did you do it?
I putted really well today. It was fantastic.

Your best ever?
I don’t know I have to check. Yes, it was. It was really good.

Is that your best ever score?
No. My best is ten under but it was when I was an amateur so it doesn’t count. It’s my best as a pro.

What made the difference today?
My putting was really good. It was much better than normal.

You’re still relatively new. How does it feel to have this kind of round going into the final day?
I feel a little bit nervous but I have played in the last group a few times and I feel comfortable.

Did playing in the last group with Suzann Pettersen last week help?
Yes. I learned a lot of things. I realised if I try hard and train hard I’m going to play well like her.

How do you know Michelle Wie?
I met her I think two years ago. She’s a great player. She told me her putting wasn’t good the last two days but she’s a great player.

What do you think about having her out here this week?
It’s good! A lot of people come here and watch her. She is famous.

How do you like Munich?
It’s really hot but I like it. It’s the first time I’ve played in Germany and it’s a really nice place.

When did you move to America?
At the end of February.

You lived in Australia for three years.
I was just studying over there.

Where did you move to in the States?
Orlando, Florida.

What was there that brought you down there?
I finished high school in Australia and I wanted to play on the LPGA Tour. I have a conditional card over there and also I have full status in Europe. I wanted to come to Europe sometimes and also play in America. From Orlando its close.

You had an eagle on 11. How did you make it?
I hit a great tee shot and had four-iron into the green and one putt. It was about five steps.

Joanne, can you comment on your round today?
Joanne Mills: I reached 7-under but I bogeyed the 17th. I missed about a three foot putt for my par. My putter was running hot. I hit a couple close and I rolled a couple of long putts in too. The putter was just so hot today I holed everything. Everything that I looked at I holed. When your putter’s hot you can shoot a good score and the greens are so pure here. You just hit it on the right line and they’re in.

You won in Germany 11 years ago. Has that inspired you at all this week?
It’s been a seven year break since we’ve played in Germany and it’s great to have the event back, it’s been so long. Germany has always had good memories for me from when we played in Hamburg. Now this course seems to suit me as well. It’s very narrow which suits my game and the greens are good . It’s always handy to play well on a course that, well is new to everybody. Germany has been a very special place to me in the past.

How did you feel when you saw Lora Fairclough leading, another former winner of this event?
It was great. All three of us who are former winners made the cut, Joanne Morley as well. It’s good to see Lora up there again and she’s played well. I’ve played with her a couple of times recently and she’s been knocking on the door. It’s great to see her up there again this year.

What do you think about the tournament in general?
Fantastic. I mean we couldn’t have asked for a better event really. All of the sponsors have put in such a big effort to make it very special. You can just tell by the crowds out here this week. I mean they are fantastic; the biggest crowds we’ve had in ages for any event. They’ve put a lot of effort in and it’s fantastic to see it back on the schedule. I am sure it will stay here for a while now.

Have you been happy with your season so far?
Absolutely. I got off to a good start with a second place in Spain and it was a little bit of a struggle after that for a couple of events, missed cuts. I played well last week in Switzerland and now its all starting to fall together again.

What is your main goal?
I’d like to win again this year. It was good to win last year in Wales and I’d like to definitely try and top that off again. Coming close in Spain was good and this weekend I’ve got myself into a good situation where I can have a good chance of winning tomorrow.

How was that for you today?
It was very frustrating and I couldn’t get anything going. I hit a couple of irons a bit longer than I thought. I left a lot out there so hopefully tomorrow I can go low.

Do you think you can catch up with the leader, Amy Yang?
Yes. I mean, I just feel like I left a lot out there. I feel like I am not playing up to my potential and I feel like tomorrow I just have to shoot low.

How is your putting?
I feel like I’ve been hitting my putts solidly it’s just I didn’t read them right. I’m rolling them really good but it’s a little tricky so I’m reading them a little bit wrong.

You talked before about not birdying the par fives but you had two birdies on the par fives today. That must have been a good feeling.
Yes. I hit the fairway on three which is good. I made a birdie on 11 but I still left a lot out there. Tomorrow I just have to leave none out there.

We had a big crowd. What did you think about that?
I was surprised actually. I didn’t think that a lot of people were going to come so it’s a really good feeling that a lot of people came and watched today.

How do you feel about Germany?
They’ve got a lot of culture here and the food tastes great and I love it. People are nice.

What do you think about the fact they re-established the tournament?
It’s great that they re-established it because it’s a great tournament. It’s really well run and it’s a great course so I’m glad I came here.

Could you say one word about Amy.
I know her personally and she is a really nice person. Obviously today nine-under is really good. She’s an amazing player and a really nice person.
