As the only new sport event in the programme at Glasgow 2018, European golf is readying itself to make golfing history as it crowns their new European Champions at Gleneagles.

With tickets for the Championships starting from just £15 available on the gates each day, and with Under 16s going free with a paying adult, Scottish golf fans are being encouraged to get along to Gleneagles to celebrate the final weekend of what has been a festival of world-class golf in Scotland this summer.

With free on-site parking, families attending the revolutionary new European Golf Team Championships will be treated to an exciting raft of fun-filled golfing challenges in the innovative spectator village – as well as the chance to pick up some tips from legendary Open Champion Paul Lawrie when he visits the Championships on Friday 10th August.

Lawrie said: “The European Golf Team Championships are a hugely innovative and exciting format, especially as they are providing a historic moment for equality in sport with men and women competing together in the Mixed Team event on Saturday.

“Golf events provide a terrific day out for the family with something to keep everyone interested. I hope that people will be inspired by watching some great players perform on the course before having the opportunity to try it for themselves in the spectator village.”

With newly crowned British Open Champion, Georgia Hall and 2019 Solheim Cup Team Europe captain, Catriona Matthew, plus a host of up-and-coming European golfers taking to the fairways, it promises to be a weekend not to be missed.

As well as being available on the gate, tickets can also be booked in advance at https://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/glasgow2018#Golf
