Sweden’s Pernilla Lindberg made a hot start to the second round of the ActewAGL Canberra Classic on Saturday morning.

The 31-year-old from Bollnas was challenging overnight leader Jiyai Shin at the top of the leader board at Royal Canberra.

Lindberg is looking for her first LET title after eight years and 70 starts on tour.

Twice a runner-up at the 2010 NZ Women’s Open and 2011 Suzhou Taihu Ladies Open, Lindberg has racked up 23 top 10 finishes so far, in addition to playing on the US-based LPGA Tour.
