For the first time in its history, The Evian Championship, the final leg of the women’s Grand Slam, which will take place from 11 to 14 September 2014, has launched an international qualifier event.

This is an incredible opportunity for an additional two players to be part of the prestigious and lucrative championship alongside the leading players in women’s world golf.

The Qualifiers will take place on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 June 2014, on the Major course at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Evian-les-Bains, France.

The field will be limited to 120 players, including 3 amateurs, chosen according to the following selection criteria:

– 117 professional players from the Rolex Rankings, which includes all the Tours (LPGA, LET, JLPGA, ALPGA…), as of 20 May 2014

– 3 amateur players from The Top 50 on the World Amateur Golf Ranking as of 20 May 2014

After 36 holes of stroke play (18 holes on each day), the winner of the event and the runner-up will automatically qualify to compete in The Evian Championship.

This is an incredible opportunity for two players who will be able to test themselves against the world’s elite and experience competing in a Major.
