Soo-Jin Yang


At second on the KLPGA’s money list, Yang is the leading player in the field from the Korean Ladies Professional Golf Association. The 19-year-old turned pro in 2008 and has two victories on the KLPGA this season at the Himart Ladies Open J Golf Series and the Taeyoung Cup Korea Women’s Open. She has five additional top-three finishes this year.

Shin-Ae Ahn


The 19-year-old, playing with Laura Davies and Melissa Reid, turned pro in 2008. She has two victories on the KLPGA and won them both this year, at the SBS Tour Hidden Valley Open and the SBS Charity Ladies Open. She has finished in the top-five on four additional occasions this season and is ranked third on the KLPGA money list.

Hye-Youn Kim


Kim, who turns 20 later this month, turned professional in 2007 and has two victories on the KLPGA. She won one this season at the Rush & Cash Charity Classic and has registered four other top-fives. She is currently ranked fifth on the KLPGA and is playing the first round with So-Yeon Ryu and Scotland’s Vikki Laing.

According to defending champion Hyun-Ji Kim, Ryu has charisma! She lost in the play-off to Kim in 2009 after tying for the lead in regulation play. The 20-year-old is ranked fourth on the KLPGA money list after claiming one win this season at the Orient China Ladies Open, with four additional top-five finishes. She turned pro in 2007 and has six career victories. She is playing the first round with Hye-Youn Kim and Vikki Laing.
