(Evian-les-Bains, France, June 11 2002) World number one Annika Sorenstam makes a welcome return to Europe as she heads the cast of 78 of the World’s top women golfers in the $2.1 Evian Masters alongside the banks of Lake Geneva.
The 31-year-old Swede, who has won five times this season, starts as hot favourite this week after her blistering final round six under par 65 during tough conditions at the MacDonald’s LPGA Championship last week, where she finished third behind Korean Se Ri Pak who picked up her fourth Major title.
