The Inaugural Mother and Daughter Tournament on the Old Course, St Andrews is to be held from 11-15 May 2003. The tournament was announced recently by The Old Course Experience, offering amateur golfers from across the world a unique opportunity to play at the “Home of Golf”.

The Tournament will be a ‘better ball’ Stableford competition held over 54 holes of links golf on The Old Course, The New Course and the Jubilee Course. The Handicap Limit is 36 and the field is limited to 20 teams. Accommodation will be for four nights in the 4* Rusacks Hotel.

This will be the first ever Mother and Daughter Tournament to be held on The Old Course, St. Andrews, and the event is supported by the Ladies European Tour.

Generous prizes will be awarded for a variety of competitions including handicap and scratch prizes, longest drive and nearest the pin. A Scottish theme will be followed throughout, including the wearing of full Scottish attire at the final Gala Dinner. Programmes for non-golfers are also available.

The Old Course Experience has an exclusive commercial contract with the St. Andrews Links Trust and offers golf programmes and tournaments throughout the season that feature guaranteed starting times on the Old Course, St. Andrews.
