Early entries for the PGA in Scotland’s Paul Lawrie Ladies Tartan Tour opening event of 2014 include two past Solheim Cup players – Trish Johnson (England) and Becky Brewerton (Wales), and six former national amateur champions: Laura Murray and Heather Stirling (Scotland), Lisa Shervill (England), Amy Boulden (Wales), Becky Brewerton and Trish Johnson.Brewerton, Johnson, Boulden and Stirling also gained Curtis Cup honours during their amateur careers. Boulden, daughter of a Welsh club pro, was a member of the winning GB and I team at Nairn in June 2012.The first event on the five 36-hole stroke-play tournament schedule is over the Torrance Course at Fairmont St Andrews on Monday and Tuesday, April 14 and 15.Each tournament has a guaranteed prize fund of £6,000 with the top 10 finishers earning from £2,500, £1,250, £750 for the first three down to £70.Entry is open to all female professionals and to female amateurs with single-figure handicaps.
